I knew you when.
In the mid 80s, I was on my way into a very upscale mall that had just opened in Miami. Now we all know celebrities should be dressed to the nines with an entourage in tow, but I guess at the time Chris Rock just didn't have the flow. As I was walking into the mall, a young, skinny, Rock having a bad 80s hair day held the door for me.
I knew it was him, but I thought, 'where is all the Hollywood flash.' I think this was a little before his money from all his HBO specials kicked in, maybe even a little before HBO.
