Murder She(almost)Wrote, or How I almost killed Angela Lansbury.
The year was 1991. I was enjoying a lovely summer day, driving down Hollywood Blvd in my red ‘82 Camaro. As I was cruising, I saw some filming was taking place just ahead and so I slowed down to take a look. The lights and camera crew filled the sidewalks and I gawked through my passenger side window to get a better look. Out of the corner of my eye, I caught a figure standing in the street and I slammed on the breaks. My head snapped forward and I was locking eyes with a frightened Angela Lansbury. Her legs, just inches from my bumper. I then heard shouting as some rent-a-cops rushed my car. I panicked and backed up, went around Ms. Lansbury, and sped away, squealing my tires for at least a block. I will never forget the look on Angela Lansbury’s face.
