Crazy nails
I was getting my nails done in a swanky part of town. Seated next to me was a woman with the longest nails I had ever seen. I tried to make small talk with this woman since we were the only two in the shop, besides the workers. All I could get out of her was she was exhausted because she just flew from Los Angeles to St. Louis to meet with her coach because she "runs for Nike." After the woman left I asked the nail tech who she was. Apparently, she was some huge track star, Gail Devers. I had never heard of her, and I couldn't understand how she could run for a living, especially with those long long fingernails. As you may have guessed, the whole next week Gail Devers was on the news and in every magazine I picked up. I will never forget those nails!
