Dumb jock, but a nice guy.
Met Brett Hull, Pascal Rheume, Charlie Huddy at Pops bar in a bad part of Illinois (near east St. Louis). Brett had this massive black eye, whole face stitched together. Couldn't help myself, first words to him "Man, Brett, you look like shit, what the hell happened to you?" He took it in the stride; he & Pascal spent a fair portion of the evening hanging out at our table. Turns out we have quite a few people in common with the charity events. Not the brightest guy in the world, but one of the nicer sports figures I've met.
