Spoke to Elizabeth Taylor in theater
This may date me, but in 1963, when "Funny Girl" was over, Elizabeth Taylor came up the aisle, and stopped to speak to me! I told her how beautiful she was, and she said, "Why, thank you, little girl, that's so sweet!" Richard Burton snuck out the back way so he wouldn't have to greet the crowd. Years later, I had a chance to speak at length with Ms.Taylor at a political function for her then-husband, John Warner. As usual, she was breathtakingly beautiful. She reached around and took me in her arms, and said I was beautiful, too!
