He Inhaled
Hwy 51 right outside of Millington, Tennessee. Bill Clinton came thru town with Al Gore, they were riding in separate buses standing in the doorways with mikes in their hands, talking to the people lined up on the sides of the hwy. Well I don't smoke dope but yes I tried it when I was younger. As a joke I made a sign that said Hey Bill I inhaled. While I was sitting there waiting for the entourage, people started honking and a crowd started gathering around me. Well when the buses got to where I was you could hear the President talking to the crowd and then the look on his face and the silence was priceless. Same thing with Gore. Not one of my proudest moments but it was worth it. The incident made it into the Commercial Appeal (thank God not my name) and I was a little local celebrity among those who knew it was me.
