Don't ask for directions!
A friend & I were going to a Bruce Springsteen concert in Saginaw, MI in the late 1970s. I knew how to get to the Civic Center & home again in Saginaw but didn't know the area. We got to the concert extremely early & were just walking around in the area. A green limo pulled up and the back window rolled down. It was the man himself!! Bruce Springsteen was calling us over to his limo!! I wanted to faint, but calmly walked to the vehicle. Bruce Springsteen told me that he was hungry & needed some place to eat. Could I give him directions? Not wanting to look like a fool, I sent him down busy Washington Street telling him that there were plenty of places to choose from just a few short blocks down. He thanked me and pulled away. I later found out that there is not one place to eat down that street, I sent him into a bad area of Saginaw. :oO
