Outta nowhere came Bob Hope...
I was minding my own business petting an exotic bird in a bird sanctuary in and exculsive neighborhood in San Diego, Ca. The bird was clinging to me, it was nervous and had lost a lot of feathers. An older man shakily walked closer to me, and within inches of my face, said "That bird really seems taken with you." He almost said it in a snide tone, like ("do you regularly date exotic birds?"). It was Bob Hope wearing a golfers hat and two escorts nearby. I smiled not sure if I should respond or just let him watch me bond with the bird. A few months later, I read he died.
