Jean M. Auel

I met Jean Auel at a sci fi convention and thought that she was Ann Rule and stupidly asked her if she was responsible for the books about murder and stuff... She said no, as in "Clan of the Cave Bear." After an embarrassed apology, I told her my mother was a big fan and she graciously gave me her autograph, shook my hand and said she hoped my mom would like the autograph.
