On a Downtown Street
Several years ago, I was walking down 3rd street in Seattle. As I drew near the entrance to a local restuarant, a door to a car at the curb opened and Bill Cosby stepped out and walked to the middle of the sidewalk. As I came up to him, I said, without breaking stride, "Good afternoon Mr. Cosby, how are you today?" He said, "I'm fine, thank you very much," and we both went on in our separate directions.
