While volunteering at Laguna Seca AMA/Superbike race in 2005 I met Brad Pitt.
I had recently joined the United States Army and was stationed at the Presidio in Monterey, CA. One of the weekends I was there I was asked by one of my friends if I could take their place as a volunteer at the Laguna Seca raceway because they had a doctors appointment that they had forgotten about. I agreed if just for the chance to get off post and see some bikes. Well about 1:30 p.m., as I was standing down at the end of the pits making sure that unauthorized people didn't get in and that people were not taking pictures when they were not supposed to, and chatting with the pit girls, Brad Pitt walks up to go into the pit area (no pun intended). And of course, just like everyone else, I have to stop him and check his ID. He had access and I thank him, smile, let him pass, and tell him that I am a huge fan. I wished I had a camera phone or something so I could have gotten a picture, but it still made my year.
