Served him with a drink in my bar
From 1985 to 1988 I owned a bar in Mallorca Spain with my (now) ex husband.
This really quiet unassuming young man came in our bar to order a coffee early one morning. My husband came to me in the kitchen almost freaking out that Billy Idol was in our little bar. We chatted about the day, the weather etc. and never mentioned we knew who he was. His parents came to meet him outside (at that time they lived there for 6 months of the year and he was visiting). His girlfriend was with him and if you didn't recognize him you would never know that the nice polite young man was the rocker Billy Idol.
I see him on TV now and smile to myself. He will have long ago forgotten our meeting, but I remember it clearly!
