Fishing and Hiking with Peter Coyote
Eighteen years ago I lived in Atlanta, and my husband and I had friends who were organic farmers and lived in the country-side 25 miles from Atlanta. They had a very large stocked pond and hiking trails. We visited them frequently on the weekends...it made for a very relaxing break from the hectic pace of the city.
On one such weekend they warned us by phone that we would have to share the boat and pond with a friend that they had visiting them from California, who also wanted a break from the hectic pace of his life.
I was pretty surprised to meet a rumpled, relaxed and laid-back Peter Coyote upon our arrival. I had been a fan of his since he began his film career. We spent the day fishing and hiking. He was just a real nice regular Joe, and I think of that day whenever I catch him in a movie now.
