interviewed her when I was in high school
Mary Quant and her models were holding a fashion show at the Jones Store in downtown Kansas city. This was right at the beginning of the mod craze and we were all crazy about the English mod look. After the show was over, I asked Mary if I could interview her and her husband, Alexander Plunket-Greene. She agreed, and I had a wonderful time with my little reel to reel tape recorder, asking all sorts of questions. I then briefly was able to speak to all of the models as well. I still have the tapes and will treasure them always!
