Hung out in dressing room and drove him to the airport
I was working as a dressing room attendant for the Masonic Auditorium in Toledo, Ohio, when I had the opportunity to meet Jay Leno. He was there to perform his stand-up to a packed house. This was before he had the "The Tonight Show" gig.
I was backstage during the show, keeping his dressing room stocked and clean for him and his crew. After the show, my job was to transport Jay to the airport. He sat in the front seat right next to me, and we shot the bull for the almost 30 minute drive. He talked a lot about motorcycles and how hungry he was. He joked that he wouldn't get any food on the plane. He was a very personable guy and his jaw is HUGE in real life. A very memorable night, all in all.
