Weren't you in Star Trek???
It was the summer of 1977 and Star Wars was breaking box office records. I was five and fanatic about the movie. My father worked for the local ABC affiliate in town. Their morning show was having Anthony Daniels on the air. He brought me to the station in order to meet a beloved character. I brought my copy of a book edition of the movie for him to sign.
So, when the moment came to meet him, I was surprised and a bit confused not to be seeing a shiny, gold robot standing before me. He asked me if I knew who he was. I was perplexed by his accent as well and I told him that he must be Scotty from Star Trek. He instantly broke into a great fit of laughter. He signed my book anyway and I treasure it to this day.
