So nice
I was lucky enough to win tickets back in 2004 to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction ceremonies. There were so many stars there, and I did try to talk to as many of then as possible from Mick Jagger to Chris Rock, but the one who stood out most was Alicia Keys. She is even more beautiful in person and so nice.
I went up to her and asked her if I could get a photo with her. We talked for a few minutes, and then she invited me into the VIP room. I was feeling a little insecure because I had put on weight, and she sensed how I was feeling, being surrounded by so many thin beautiful people.
She said to me, "None of us are perfect," and the way she said it was so caring it actually made me feel comfortable.
I had an opportunity to meet her again several months later at a concert. I brought an 8x10 of the photo of us for her to sign. She remembered me and she signed it, "Lauren,Wonderful to see you again, Alicia." How cool is that?
