Nice Guy Vince Gill
When my son, Kyle, was about 4-years-old, I won tickets to see Amy Grant perform at a local restaurant. My babysitter canceled at the last minute, so I had to take Kyle with me. After the performance, I went up to meet Amy Grant and get her autograph. Vince Gill walked up about that time, and he was wearing a baseball cap. I was holding Kyle up on my hip, and he reached up and took the hat off of Vince's head and put it on his own head. I could have crawled under the nearest table! I was sooooo embarrassed! Vince was so nice about it, though.
He patted Kyle on the head and said, "You can keep it, buddy."
He let Kyle keep the hat! Kyle doesn't remember that night, but I will always remember how nice Vince Gill was and still is. He is truly a great country artist and an even greater person. I still have the hat, too.
