I meet Billy Bob at a Target store in Odessa Texas. He was shooting a movie in the area. I remember that I saw him, and everyone else in the store saw him as well, but it seemed like everyone was to nervous to talk to him. People working and shopping just whispered among each other and stared, but were for some reason to nervous to go up to him to say hi. I noticed that he was with a young woman and a few other people and he just walked and talked among them so casually.
I was so excited, because it was my one and only time to be face to face with a celebrity. So I walked right up to him, called out his name and hugged him. He talked to me and I took a picture with him. I got his autograph and talked to him one on one for about five minutes surprisingly.
I told him that I was a big fan, and that he was a good actor. Well, shortly after that he started to walk away out the doors because his friends were about to pay for some items that they had purchased. A lot of people noticed him talking to me, and it was like flies on a cake -- everyone went up to him and started talking to him and trying to get autographs and pictures taken with him.
I must say, though, he is a very nice, sweet, soft spoken man in person. I was truly shocked on how he dealt with all the fans. He was happy and smiling and talking freely with everyone after that. Then he said good-bye and left.
