My Brush with Burt
I live in Arkansas, near Evening Shade, which is the town portrayed in the sitcom "Evening Shade" that costarred Burt Reynolds. They didn't research the town very well, as Evening Shade is a dry county, and the show had a bar on it. They had the school colors all wrong -- but a senior at Evening Shade had contacted Burt's manager to see if he would come to their high school graduation. He agreed.
I was able to meet him after the graduation. He went in to a small building to talk with the graduating seniors, and I went to the window outside. My friend who had contacted him to begin with, called him over and he talked to me through the window, and I got his autograph. It was pretty cool!
