I was at a Japanese temple in Tokyo when my wife said, "Look, look, look -- that's that guy!" I couldn't figure out who she was talking about, but she talked me into approaching him. When I did, he looked up from beneath his ball cap and his look said, "Please, don't OUT me in front of all these tourists." So I gave him a smile and a nod and went on my way. Later that day, I was in a Starbucks in Tokyo and ran into him again. His look said, "OK, you've seen me twice, and I appreciate your discretion from earlier, but could you do me another favor and not make a scene here in Starbucks? I'd really owe you one." So again, I gave him a smile and a nod and went about my way.
As it turns out, he was there filming "The Grudge." Now, if I could only have run into Sarah Michelle Gellar....
