Got to meet my favorite singer after her concert at the DAR Constitution Hall
I lucked out and got first row center tickets to see Bonnie Raitt in concert. I was right below her and was just in awe of her talent. Since I was at the front, I didn't hurry out, but stayed back until the place began to clear out. As I started up the aisle I was approached by a young couple. They said they had backstage passes but couldn't stay and did I want them. I naturally took them. I was ushered downstairs with the other backstage pass people. When Bonnie came out, she came around and talked with each person. All during the conversation she kept looking at my chest...and I wondered about it until I remembered what I had on. I know it was a bit tacky, but I had on a former concert t-shirt with her picture on it. Guess it was crazy for her to be talking to me with her face looking right back at her. Anyway- she was gracious and friendly. It was a night I will never forget.
