It must have been about 24 years ago, my future wife and I were hanging out in Washington Square Park when I saw Mr. Hoffman walking by. Being a big fan I began to follow him for a few blocks trying to come up with something witty, interesting, and amusing that he would find worthwhile. Unfortunately I never did come up with a remark that I thought he might appreciate, and so, after about 10 blocks I stopped my pursuit. Looking back, I should have simply told him how much I admired his work and left it at that. I learned from this experience to seize the moment and just go for it!
