Hotel elevator
My mother-in-law accompanied my father-in-law on a business trip to New York City. As he had meetings all day she went shopping. Upon her return to the hotel she went to the elevator and pushed the button. The doors open, she stepped in, and all of a sudden there were three men entering the elevator with her. Two of the men were huge and were standing on either side of the smaller man. The doors closed and one of the men said in a deep gruff voice "HIT THE FLOOR!" So my mother-in-law fell to the floor fearing for her safety. The man said "No no I meant hit the elevator floor! So she got up composed herself and pushed the elevator button. The next day as she checked out, the concierge at the desk said her hotel bill had been paid for! "By Whom?" she said. "Mr Eddie Murphy Madam. He wishes to apologize for the incident in the elevator yesterday. He and his bodyguards didn't mean to frighten you." Too funny!
