I got to meet them all.
They made the film the Alamo about 30 miles from my home in the 1950s. John Wayne and all the other stars were around and it was easy to meet them, back then. John Wayne, Richard Widmark, Chill Wills, and many more were here for a number of months. We had the U-2 Spy plane and no one knew. We were not main line then.
