Meeting my sweetheart at sixteen in Philadelphia, Pa. in 1988.
My oldest brother knew that I loved Michael Jordan (because I had him plastered all over my bedroom walls) and I would just "die" if I ever saw him in person. My brother lives in Phillie, and he worked at the Spectrum. He could get all kinds of tickets from concerts, to hockey, basketball, and football. He got me tickets for the Sixers versus Chicago in 1988. The seats were so close that my friends and family could see me on television. Also, I was seated right behind the Chicago Bulls. I was so appreciative and speechless at the same time. In that game, Michael ended up getting elbowed in the forehead, and I had a complete fit. Yelling at the opponents (not even caring how Phillie fans are) I cheered Michael on and when he went to sit down on the bench, I called him and he looked at me and winked. Words can't even describe how I felt at that moment, but I knew that it was the best birthday gift that a sixteen year old could have had.
