We were enjoying our family vacation at the former Jack Nicklaus Golf Resort in Traverse City. Actually, my sons and I were enjoying ourselves as my husband was there attending the University of Michigan Auto and Suppliers Conference. This is held every August. It was basically a free vacation. Rumor had it that Tim Allen was in the area shooting one of his episodes for his Home Improvement show. He was a native of Michigan and it was also said that he had a summer home in the area. It turned out that some of the cast was actualy staying at the resort too. The next morning, my kids and I came down to the lobby to purchase juice and muffins for breakfast. Only to find, that two of the boys who play his older sons were also in the lobby. Needless to say, a crowd soon formed around them. Later that day coming back from the indoor pool, we passed the actor who played Al. I touched my kids on their arms and whispered, "There is Al from Tim Allen's show." My then 7 and 9 year old sons responded with "can't be mom, he looks too little to be Al. Al's much bigger on tv." The actor then replied, "yep can't be Al-too little."
