Alan Rickman

In college, I went on study abroad trip to London. I was taking a theater class, and so we got to attend several plays. We saw "Private Lives" one evening, in which Alan Rickman was playing the lead. We waited for him outside the stage door after it was over, and he finally came out and signed some autographs for us. He asked, "Where are you from?" Being in a foreign country, I immediately said, "The United States!" And he replied in that wonderful voice, "I know....but WHERE?" I was completely embarrassed, but he was very gracious to all of us.
