Steven Van Zandt (Little Steven)

I was working at an express shipping drop center in New York City (Columbus Circle). It was Halloween 1992. I had come in 2 hours late that day because I'd been out partying the night before. (Not proud of this!) Nearing the end of my shift I was forcing myself to keep my eyes open. Well, they nearly fell out when I saw the famous bandanna walk in! I'd seen many celebrities before but I never had the nerve to speak up. When the paperwork passed in front of me and I saw Steven Van Zandt written on the form, I smiled widely and said, "I thought that was you when you walked in, but then I thought I was hallucinating." Stevie laughed loudly. We finished his transaction and when he was leaving he said to me, "Have a Happy Halloween!" There was brief feeling of comraderie (maybe because we were two creatures of the night?) and I will remain a fan forever. (Was so happy to see him later on the Sopranos!) Very down-to-earth every-day guy, and a true rock-n-roller!
