Cove Haven
Saturday Morning
Sunday
Sunday we woke up and walked over to the Coliseum Dining room for the buffet breakfast. This time there were no wandering magicians to alleviate social awkwardness so I suggested that we eat quickly. This however was a bit difficult as the buffet was pretty all-inclusive and I felt inclined to try every type of food there was. Everything from ham to hash, French toast to pork roast.... Okay, no Pork Roast but what else rhymes with French Toast.
After breakfast, they had Bingo, which for some reason Margherita wanted to do. I didn't think it would be fun as I just remember playing Bingo with my grandmother. This bingo involved us screaming out, barking like a dog, and meowing like a cat, but for me the highlight was the coincidence that a man at the table next to us won all four games in a row. It was purely coincidence but watching the Host of bingo surprised by his luck was entertainment in itself.
After Bingo, we went back to the room, said goodbye to the room, and packed up to go. Check out took about 5 minutes and then the ride home, which took us 6.5 hours coming, took only 2.5 hours back.
Overall, at times I did feel a bit awkward, as the overwhelming effect of the place was to be romantic and with your partner. After a while I felt like holding hands wasn't enough and the imagery of my parent's going there certainly didn't help matters. However on the same side, it was one of the most relaxing vacations I've ever spent. Our biggest regret in leaving was that we weren't there for at least four or five days. Yes, there are trips you can take where you certainly can see more, but if your goal is to spend some quality time with your partner, it certainly is a great idea to come to Cove Haven. Every activity seems geared to spending time with them, plus if you choose just to sit in your room and relax, it's your choice. The laid back atmosphere with everything at your fingertips was a welcomed change.
