Manchester Inn - Part 3

Day 2
We awoke early this morning and decided to enjoy one of the things for which Ocean Grove is famous - peace and tranquility. We walked along the empty beach and, again, I was thrilled to be here during the "off season." What a pleasure to have this setting all to ourselves.
Breakfast at the Manchester Inn was another treat, as Bill put out a hot buffet of blueberry pancakes, home fries, scrambled eggs and lots of other temptations. There goes the diet again. In between jumping up about five times to check on the status of the hot food at the buffet, Clark gave us some more background to the town, while we relaxed over a second cup of coffee. "Ocean Grove has a core set of values that lends itself to families, relaxation and quiet reflection," he shared. Clark sounds like a walking advertisement and a public relations person for the area. For those looking for a little more than peace, he told us about several places to explore within a 30-minute drive, such as Point Pleasant, the Sate Park and Six Flags.
For Don and I, this was a short, but welcome break from our busy work week.
While here, I was already planning to return for a "girls-only" get together. Clark has a large clientele for corporate meetings, family reunions and business and spiritual retreats. Ocean Grove is a beautiful place to which to escape and The Manchester Inn is the destination.
