We were done with our Best Western theme and it was time to head home. We had a car taking us from Napa back to San Francisco for Part Two of our adventure and I was still a bit more relaxed from the day before.
We had some complimentary homemade Belgian waffles at the Elm House which continued my culinary binging theme. I had some more coffee as I really needed to wake up from running around all week.
And to go back on this theme of Best Westerns. It was odd. I walked in thinking that every Best Western was a roadside motel but stayed at the best Inn I’ve ever stayed at (Elm House) and stayed at a comfortable Tuscan Inn by Fisherman’s Wharf. Myths were dispelled as well as sobriety.
Now, I’m going to consider looking more closely at some of the unique Best Western properties when we travel, and look at being part of this non-profit company as a good thing... like getting massages after wine.
