Kathie Lee Gifford is best known for her 15-year run as a host on Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee. She now hosts the fourth hour of NBC's Today, alongside Hoda Kotb. Throughout her career, she has received 11 Daytime Emmy nominations.
In 1996, Gifford had a clothing line deal with Wal-Mart. The National Labor Committee made the allegation that sweatshop labor was being used to make the clothes. Gifford addressed the accusations, saying she was not involved with project management at the factories. She then reached out to federal agencies to form laws to protect children from working in sweatshops.
Gifford is a celebrity ambassador for the non-profit Childhelp, and funds two shelters in New York City for babies born with HIV or born with a congenital crack cocaine addiction.
