ABC Fall 2013 Schedule: ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ gets Tuesdays, ‘Dancing With The Stars’ condensed to one night

ABC announced its Fall 2013 schedule, keeping Wednesday as the home for Modern Family and putting Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on Tuesdays. The network also scheduled the Once Upon A Time spin-off for Thursdays.

The biggest news might be that Dancing with the Stars has now been condensed to one night. The dancing series has taken a hit in the ratings since last year’s ill-advised All Stars season and it has not picked up this spring. DWTS will now take up just one two-hour block for ABC on Mondays.

Wednesdays will still be dominated by sitcoms. The Middle and Modern Family will keep their 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. slots, respectively. Back in the Game with Maggie Lawson and James Caan will at at 8:30, while Super Fun Night with Rebel Wilson will take 9:30. Nashville will stay at 10 p.m. Wednesdays.

ABC also scheduled a Tuesday comedy hour at 9 p.m. to follow S.H.I.E.L.D.. That will feature The Goldbergs and Trophy Wife with Malin Akerman. New drama Lucky 7 with Isiah Whitlock Jr. and Matt Long, will follow.
