Golden Globe winning actress Claire Danes graces the August 2013 cover of Vogue magazine where the new mother opens up about her role in the HBO hit series Homeland and the intensive bullying she endured as a child.

However, it wasn’t just the school kids who were mean, Danes explains that there was a fellow actress who bullied her. Without pointing fingers Dane’s informs, “She’s actually still in the business.”

Despite her trials, Dane’s has found her grip and moved passed the negativity and found strong, wise women to grow from.

"I've had conversations with them. Meryl [Streep], Susan Sarandon, Jodie Foster,” she explains according to E! News. The Homeland actress explains she learned: "You have to pick your battles on set. You have to come to work from a place of love. You have to stay hydrated when you have crying scenes. You have to go to college. And you have to ask for money because there's always more money and they won't give it to you because you're a girl!"

Homeland returns for its third season this fall.
