'The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson' Recap: Alice Eve, Shirley Jones

Intro:
Craig Ferguson starts off the show by discussing complaints that the show has been receiving lately. Apparently, many viewers have written in to say that Ferguson's habit of ringing a bell and then, pretending to be German, is getting annoying. Ferguson says that he doesn't care and does it again. Ferguson says that the next time when he rings the bell, they are going to change the country they imitate. He rings the bell, and his robot-skeleton sidekick picks Sweden. Ferguson laughs at Peterson's Swedish accent, saying it sounds Transylvanian.

Monologue:
Ferguson starts off the monologue by saying that the dialogue between him and Geoff Peterson is not scripted. He says that the only thing that's guaranteed for him to say is, "It's a great day for America!" The host says that it's a great day for Anthony Weiner, who announced he's confident he will be the mayor of New York City one day. Ferguson then says that a woman in England spent thousands of dollars on plastic surgery to look like Pamela Anderson. "You know who also spend thousands of dollars to look like Pamela Anderson?" asks Ferguson. "Pamela Anderson."

Tweets and Emails:
The first email is from Mark in Houston, TX. Mark suggests a name for Craig's left arm. Geoff Peterson and Craig Ferguson seem to like the name. The next message is from Penguin Z in Tokyo. Penguin Z asks if Ferguson will come to the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. Ferguson says he will. The last message is from a viewer who asks if Ferguson and Peterson call each other when they are not in the studio. As the segment ends, Ferguson sits quietly while sound effects play.

First Guest:
Alice Eve stops by the show to promote Star Trek: Into the Darkness. Eve says that Ferguson's horse is not a horse but a donkey. Ferguson and Eve ring the bell a few times. Ferguson says that Eve has always been a lovely guest but now that she is an international megastar, he was worried that she would have changed in some way. Eve says that she does not have tattoos or want one but she is fascinated by tattoos. She says that she would regret it if she got one.

Second Guest:
The second guest is Shirley Jones. Shirley Jones has written a memoir about herself. Ferguson asks Jones if she ever had doubts about writing a memoir. Jones says that she did but that since she is 80, she figured now was the time to write about her life outside of show business. Ferguson says that he is very impressed with the book.
