A new trend in television production is that many dramas are being filmed overseas in the United Kingdom, that trend is now extending to comedies, because of a new tax credit being offered to productions.

ABC Studio plans to film their new comedy pilot, Galavant over the U.K.

The single-camera pilot Galavant has been pitched as, a comedy fairytale, will be filming in Wales and will provided jobs to over 150 locals, Deadline reported.

The upcoming comedy will tell the story of Prince Galavant, who is seeking revenge on an evil King who stole the beautiful Madalena away from him. Madalena will be played by Mallory Jansen. The upcoming comedy will also feature Karen David, Luke Youngblood and Vinnie Jones in the cast.

The show will be ABC’s first show to take advantage of the U.K.’s new tax credit for high-end television shows, Variety added. The tax credit will provide a 25% rebate on 80% of the production budget.

Dan Fogelman is writing the upcoming comedy and Alan Menken, Oscar-winning composer, is signed on to write the music for the show.
