E! is apologizing for a "fun fact" about Michael J. Fox during their Internet coverage of the Golden Globes. The network posted an infographic that featured his Parkinson's disease as a "fun fact."

CNN reported that the graphic only appeared on E!'s Internet coverage, the graphic was not aired during the television broadcast.

The network released a statement regarding the incident to The Hollywood Reporter.

"We regret the insensitive classification of Michael J Fox's Parkinson's diagnosis during our E online live stream. We understand the serious nature of the disease and sincerely apologize," said a representative from E!.

Fox attended the Golden Globes with his wife Tracy Pollen and was nominated for best actor in a comedy for his work on The Michael J. Fox Show with is currently on NBC.

Quickly after the infographc aired, it went viral online and fans took to Twitter to express their anger over the graphic. Many fans even took the time to create their own "fun facts" about the E! broadcast.

Even after Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson's he continued to act, appearing on such shows as, Boston Legal and The Good Wife.
