Baltimore Ravens' Ray Rice arrested in Atlantic City casino

Baltimore Raven running back Ray Rice was arrested Friday night at an Atlantic City, N.J. casino.

According to The Baltimore Sun, Rice and his fiancee, Janay Palmer were arrested after they had a fight at the Revel Resorts casino.

Police were called by Revel security after a fight broke out between Rice and Palmer. They were both shown on video surveillance.

A statement released by the Atlantic City Police Department says, " The complaint summons indicates that both Rice and Palmer struck each other with their hands.

Rice, 27 and Palmer, 26 were both charged with simple assault-domestic violence and were released.

"We haven't seen any charging documents yet," Rice's attorney, Michael Diamondstein said. "There was an argument that included Ray. I can't give any specifics because we haven't seen the document yet.Once we're able to go through the evidence, it should wind up to be a little more than a misunderstanding."

According to ESPN, a Raven spokesperson said that the team spoke with Rice on Sunday night.

However, they do intend to talk to Rice and decide what his future will be with the Baltimore Ravens.

Rice played for Rutgers University in New Jersey and was drafted by the Ravens in 2008.
