Law enforcement sources have revealed that that late Philip Seymour Hoffman kept journals of his tortured thoughts, which revealed he was caught inbetween two women and was ashamed of his addiction.
The journals are reportedly difficult to read but sources say he did talk about being torn between his longtime girlfriend Mimi O’Donnell and a new woman. O’Donnell had kicked him out of the house they shared with their three children three months before his Feb. 2 death because he had relapsed.
Sources told the Post Hoffman wrote he felt “ashamed that he was going out and hanging out and drinking” after being sober for over two decades. He also wrote about the “demons” he had.
Insiders also say it appears that the Oscar winner wrote some of the journal entries while under the influence and some of them while in rehab.
They "definitely contained some soul-searching. But there is also a fair amount of rambling that doesn’t make sense,” the source continued.
Hoffman was found dead with a needle in his arm earlier this month and almost 50 heroin bags by his side.
