Fans of Brittany Murphy will get a chance to see her final film, Something Wicked.
Something Wicked is a seductive thriller that is debuting in the Regal Cinemas in Eugene, Oregon on April 4. The movie will open at the Cinema Pacific Film Festival on April 23.
The movie was shot on location in Eugene. In the film, a young couple embarks on their wedding plans and secrets from their past collide. According to the Daily Mail, several scenes had to be shot after Murphy’s death.
According to the Huffington Post, writer and producer Joe Colleran told the New York Daily News, “The first months of reviewing the footage and starting to put things together and then seeing her and hearing her voice, it’s very emotional.” The movie is being released four years after Murphy’s death.
Murphy has also starred in 8 Mile, Uptown Girls, Clueless. Something Wicked is a Merchant Films production, directed by Darin Scott. The movie also features Shantel VanSanten, John Robinson and James Patrick Stuart. Merchant Films Releasing is distributing the film.
