Cassadee Pope's 'Wasting All These Tears' album goes platinum

Former winner of Voice, Cassadee Pope is celebrating her first single going platinum. "Wasting All These Tears" has reached over one million downloads since the single was released.

Pope becomes the first female artist to accomplish this single Taylor Swift did back in 2006, Country Music Is Love reported. Swift reached this milestone in her career with her debut single, "Tim McGraw."

Pope had dominated the iTunes charts before she even released her debut single with her performances from The Voice, with her covers of "Stupid Boy" and "Over You."

The "I Wish I Could Break Your Heart" singer had her first album Frame by Frame debut at the top of the country music charts and entered into the top ten on Billboard's Top 200 when her album was released back in 2013.

Following the success of her album and the single "Wasting All These Tears" the Voice champion will be joining Tim McGraw's Sundown Heaven Town this summer. She was recently seen on tour with Rascal Flatts and in Canada with Dean Brody.

Pope, who made a huge connection with fans during her time on The Voice is always interacting with her fans on her social media networks and recently announced that will also be filming her next music video during a upcoming concert in Columbus, Ohio, The Columbus Dispatch reported.
