Hans Zimmer in talks to score 'Man of Steel 2'

Hans Zimmer wrote one of the most memorable scores of the past years when he worked on Man of Steel. Until now, it was not confirmed that Zimmer would be back for the upcoming sequel Man of Steel 2, also known as, Batman vs. Superman.

Zimmer explained in a recent interview with Digital Spy, he said that he had recently talked with director Zack Snyder about working on the sequel.

“We’ve already had a couple of chats. Once I finish the movie that I shall not talk about (Nolan’s “secretive sci-fi epic” Interstellar) I will probably head over to where Zack is shooting his movie and just hang out a bit and see if we can come up with any ideas," said Zimmer.

Zimmer is known for his work on the Christopher Nolan Batman series which will not be play part in this newly reimagined D.C. comic book universe, Consequence of Sound reported. Many sources reported that Zimmer was unsure about working on the sequel to Man of Steel because of his connection to the Nolan Batman universe.

“That’s my problem, that’s my dilemma. I don’t want to betray, if that’s the right word, the Dark Knight movies. That was Christian (Bale), it was Christian’s role. It’s not just that it was nine years of our lives, so you want to stay honest and honourable to that period. So it’s really about, ‘Is there something else I can find that I haven’t tapped into?’ Which I don’t know until I sit down with Zack," said Zimmer.
