On Thursday, the prosecutor in the Oscar Pistorius murder trial claimed that the Blade Runner bullied his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

According to The New York Times, prosecutor Gerrie Nel painted a picture of the athlete as a narcissistic bully who berated Steenkamp.

“It’s all about I. It’s all about Mr. Pistorius,” Nel told the court. “Reeva believed you treated her very badly.”

CNN noted that the state lawyer continued with his aggressive questioning and pointed to messages between the two in which Steenkamp accused the sprint runner of yelling at her.

Pistorius, however, insisted that he did not treat her badly.

The prosecution is trying to prove that the Paralympian intentionally shot the model after the two had an argument in the pre-dawn hours of Valentine’s Day 2013. Pistorius maintains that he fatally shot her only after mistaking her for an intruder.

He has plead not guilty to premeditated murder and gun charges.

The trial, which started in early March, is scheduled to wrap up by mid-May.
