'Glee' co-creator Ryan Murphy talks Naya Rivera, Lea Michele feud rumors

Glee’s co-creator Ryan Murphy is commenting on speculation that Naya Rivera is being fired from the show after a nasty rift with co-star Lea Michele.

Murphy said the firing rumors are not true, and that Rivera will come back to finish playing her character Santana before the series finale.

“I don’t think there is a story between Naya and Lea. I always marvel at the things that become headline news that most of the time are completely fabricated,” he told Extra. “Naya’s coming back next year, Lea’s coming back next year, anybody ever in that cast has an open invitation to come back and finish the character they so beautifully started.”

Meanwhile, Rivera and Michele’s co-star, Chris Colfer, spoke to People recently about the “sad” headlines.

“I've seen some of my closest friends on Glee go through where these horrible things are written about them and none of it is true, but some reporter wants to get a hit, they say so-and-so is a raging bitch,” he said.

For Rivera’s part, who’s been subject to rumors that she’s been a diva on-set, she took to Twitter early this month to give some words of wisdom. Not only has she been in the headlines for her alleged Glee antics, but she also just split from her fiancé, Big Sean.

“To the best fans in the world, thank you for all the ! Don't ever let the he say she say get you down. Whether it's in school, home, or all over the Internet lol. Hold your head high, stay true to yourself, and know you are loved! Xo.”
