Friends and close family members mourned the death of legendary radio host, Casey Kasem, during a private memorial service on Saturday in Bel Air, Calif. following his death on June 15.

Kasem died at the age of 82 in Washington state after complications with dementia.

According to The Wrap, somewhere between 100 and 150 people gathered at Bel Air Protestant Church to pay their respects to Kasem.

Kasem family spokesman Danny Deraney said, “The children — Kerri, Mike, Julie and Julie's daughters gavespeeches in addition to his close friends and brother. The day ended with a wonderful video presentation created by Mike Kasem.”

Kasem’s wife, Jean, who had been feuding with his children, did not attend the service. A judge ordered an investigation to find the American Top 40 radio host after she fled with him to Washington state last month and didn’t tell anyone where they were. She had been battling with his adult children for the rights to his medical decisions.
