Kerry Washington tells Jimmy Kimmel who she named her daughter, Isabelle, after

Scandal star Kerry Washington is notorious for keeping her personal life private, even secretly tying the knot to her husband Nnamdi Asomugha last year.

She was a little bit more open during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live while talking to host Jimmy Kimmel, who she calls a “good friend.”

Washington opened up about her daughter, Isabelle, revealing that she named her after her grandmother.

According to ABC News, the two were talking about both recently becoming parents – the third time around for Kimmel and the first for Washington – and Washington said "I heard your baby's named after her grandmother? Mine is too, named after my grandmother."

Washington gave birth to Isabelle in April and managed to keep it a secret for two weeks.

Kimmel and his wife, Molly McNearney, welcomed a baby girl named Jane last month.

While Washington was pregnant, Kimmel sent her a box of barbecue from LaBarbecue in Austin, Texas because she loves barbecue food. "There's nothing more kind to do for a pregnant lady than [sending her] a box full of frozen deliciousness," she told him.
