New 'Survivor: Blood vs. Water' cast includes former MLB player, 'Amazing Race' competitor

CBS announced the cast for this fall’s Survivor season, which will feature a new edition of Blood vs. Water. The 18 competitors will include a former MLB player, as well as a two-time Amazing Race contestant.

Like the last season of Blood vs. Water, this season will feature pairs of competitors with family ties or people in relationships. They have to decide if they want to help each other or be serious about competing for the top prize. After all, only one person can win the $1 million prize.

The 29th season of Survivor will also include Exile Island once again. In this segment, the loved ones compete in a game to avoid isolation on Exile Island. The winner will get a reward from their Tribe, but does have to pick a Tribemember to join their loved one on the island.

As EW notes, the new season will take place in San Juan del Sur. Jeff Probst will be returning as host.

The new season of Survivor starts on wednesday, Sept. 24 with a 90-minute special.

Here’s the competitors:

Drew Christy & Alec Christy (Brothers)
