Top 10 celebrities you didn't know were child stars

Hollywood is filled with young children who have big dreams of becoming the next big star. They wait, they audition, and they wait some more in the hopes of being one of the few lucky children who get selected to star alongside A-list celebrities in popular films.

However, it appears as though there is a decent amount of child stars that disappear from the entertainment industry once they become teenagers. This includes Erik Per Sullivan from Malcolm in the Middle, Jurassic Park star Ariana Richards, Jeff Cohen from The Goonies, Matilda (Mara Wilson) from the Roald Dahl inspired film Matilda, and Jerry McQuire actor Jonathan Lipnicki, all of whom left the entertainment industry following their childhood stardom.

While it is common for child stars to end up pursuing other hobbies once they get older, there are surprising amounts of celebrities in Hollywood that successfully made the transition from child star to adult celebrity. Here are our top 10 celebrities you didn’t know were child stars!
