TV Ratings: Two-hour 'Extant' remains even, 'Big Brother' tops night

Big Brother won Wednesday night, while back-to-back episodes of Extant remained steady in the TV ratings, in line with previous weeks.

CBS took the win with a 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demo and 5.91 million viewers. Big Brother topped all programs on the night with an improved 2.3 demo rating, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Between the two hours, the Halle Berry event series Extant averaged a 1.0 rating.


NBC came a close second with a 1.3 rating in the demo, but had the strongest overall audience with 6.57 million viewers. America's Got Talent held even with recent airings at a 1.8 key rating, while Taxi Brooklyn dipped slightly to a 0.9 rating.

ABC and Fox tied in the advertiser-important 18-49 demo with a low 0.9 rating, but ABC had the edge with overall viewers at 3.55 million, HitFix reports. Motive remained even with last week at a 0.8 rating.

Off the back of So You Think You Can Dance, Fox pulled in a 0.9 rating and 3.36 million viewers. The CW's Penn & Teller: Fool Us continues to be solid for the network at a 0.6 rating in the demo.
